// FOR CFOs AND COOs
Your first procurement function, built and run - without the headcount.
For CFOs and COOs of companies between roughly 80 and 400 people - typically Series B to C - where tech spend has outgrown ad-hoc buying.
The problem.
Past Series B, tech spend stops being a sprint problem and becomes an operating discipline. Vendor count triples, renewals auto-fire, every department buys its own tools, and nobody owns the process. A full-time procurement hire is premature at this stage. Leaving it to finance means renewals fire at list price and negotiations run under deadline pressure - the expensive kind of doing nothing.
The offer.
Fractional Spend & Procurement Lead
I work embedded with your finance team as your procurement function:
- Vendor governance - one intake path, clear approval thresholds, no shadow buying.
- Renewal calendar - every contract mapped, negotiated ahead of the deadline, never from a position of urgency.
- Negotiation support - I run the deals that matter; your team learns the playbook on the rest.
Monthly retainer, CHF 5'000-7'000 depending on scope. Three-month minimum. I take a small number of mandates in parallel.
How engagements start.
Start with the Spend & Process Diagnostic
Every mandate begins with a two-week diagnostic at a fixed fee of CHF 9'500: a complete spend map, your top 5 savings opportunities ranked by effort vs. impact, one automation quick-win, and a mapping of how you buy - intake, approvals, renewals - because at 100+ people the leaks are in the workflow, not just the contracts. You get the roadmap first; the retainer is only relevant if the roadmap proves there's ongoing work.
Why not hire full-time.
A senior procurement hire in Zürich costs upwards of CHF 160'000 plus ramp-up, for a workload that doesn't yet fill a week. The fractional model gives you the senior coverage now - and when your spend justifies a full-time role, I help you hire that person and hand over a working function. The mandate is designed to end.
